Tradeglaze Increase Investment In State-Of-The-Art Factory Throughout Uncertain Times

The world, and the construction industry, are navigating uncharted waters this year as businesses continue being affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. However, even during this period of uncertainty, Tradeglaze (Lincoln) Ltd remains firmly focused on the future.

Since 1995, we have been providing bespoke double glazing solutions for residential, commercial and trade customers and are consistently focused on quality and innovation. To help with the efficiency of our operations and to build capacity in response to the unprecedented demand in demand seen for windows and doors in the recent months, Tradeglaze continues to modernise its PVCu manufacturing facility, and has just invested in a Wegoma WSA-4-UNI PVCu welding machine by the industry’s leading manufacturer of uPVC window fabrication machinery, Avantek.

Tradeglaze Factory Manager, Kenny King said: “It’s a pleasure to see the business growing and to be able to invest in new machinery which will allow us to meet the ever increasing levels of demand. We are really happy with the new PVCu welder. It consists of four welding heads and ball bearings on a hardened and polished guide rail which means the operator can work with speed and precision. Each automatic welding head has 10 positions, making it possible to insert profiles quickly. The automatic repeat positioning helps to increase the speed of manufacturing, particularly if profile is consistently the same length.”

“On top of this, all the welding parameters, for example, welding temperature, heating time, adjusting pressure, clamping pressure, welding pressure, welding time are individually adjustable, allowing the manufacturing team to work flexibly and create a wide range of PVCu products, from window systems to doors and conservatories, at an increased production speed.”

Safety is also of paramount importance to Tradeglaze. With a range of new safety features such as a dual pressure safety clamping system and a two hands safety operation for the automatic welding process, the manufacturing team are able to operate not only more productively but also with increased safety.
